Freinds of Newcomers Information Session – UPDATED (combined 1 & 2)
At Wesley my family was paired up with a Syrian family that came to Canada as Refugees. Our job was to keep them company, help them navigate around hamilton, introduce them to the different programs the government has to offer for great assistance.
It was great for my kids to meet others from a similar culture as ours, they made new friends and made it easier for the kids to transition into this new world of theirs. The parents were great and very friendly. The whole family was very welcoming and open minded to begin their new life here in Canada.
